Impacting Patients’ Lives

James’ pain journey began with an innocuous fall. What might have seemed like a minor event at the time became the root cause of over 30 years of consistent discomfort. This pain was especially troublesome when sitting for prolonged periods, often becoming unbearable during long drives. Simple tasks, like sitting upright or crossing his legs, were challenges in themselves. In his quest for relief, James (pictured next to Dr. Shetty) turned to several avenues: chiropractors, joint specialists, physical therapy sessions, SI belts, and even SI joint injections. The SI belt provided some relief, pointing him toward a diagnosis of SI joint dysfunction. While researching, James stumbled upon PainTEQ on YouTube and learned about LinQ, a minimally invasive treatment for chronic SI joint dysfunction.

Dr. Shetty was the first physician in Northwest Indiana to perform the LinQ procedure. This pioneering step not only paved the way for others in the region but also marked a significant turning point in James’ own journey to recovery. After the LinQ procedure, James’ life began to change. Within just a week to ten days, he put his recovery to the test. Sitting in his car for extended periods no longer brought pain — a stark contrast to the 20-minute pain threshold he had previously. The transformation was clear: he felt a full 100% relief from the pain that had plagued him for so long. James is still in the midst of his healing process, but the progress he’s made is undeniable. He’s resumed most of his favorite activities, including biking with his wife free from the pain that once held him back. Most notably, James can now sit for hours without discomfort, eliminating the need for constant pain management.
