Dr. Siddartha Simha is a fellowship-trained interventional pain physician with a comprehensive background in anesthesiology, medical research, and global health outreach. He is dedicated to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care to individuals suffering from acute and chronic pain.
Dr. Simha completed his Interventional Pain Management fellowship at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago, IL. Prior to this, he completed his residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan Hospitals in Ann Arbor. He earned his medical degree from Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.
Throughout his medical training, Dr. Simha has been actively involved in clinical research, presenting at numerous national conferences including the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the American Academy of Pain Medicine. His research has focused on opioid prescribing trends, pain outcomes, and public health policy during the COVID-19 pandemic, with multiple peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals. Most recently, he first-authored a publication in Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine highlighting the importance of patient reported opioid use as an adjunct to data found in the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program.
Dr. Simha is committed to advancing patient care through a multidisciplinary and evidence-based approach to pain management. He specializes in the use of image-guided, minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat a wide range of pain conditions. His clinical expertise includes the management of spine-related disorders, musculoskeletal and joint pain, headaches, complex neuropathic syndromes, and cancer-related pain. He is proficient in a broad array of advanced interventional techniques, including fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided epidural steroid injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablation, peripheral nerve blocks, and spinal cord stimulation. Dr. Simha emphasizes a personalized treatment plan for each patient, focusing on restoring function, reducing opioid reliance, and improving quality of life.
In addition to his clinical and academic accomplishments, Dr. Simha is the founder of a nonprofit organization promoting global health initiatives and has organized annual rural health clinics in India since 2014.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Simha enjoys traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
