Special Interests
Dr. Gupta is passionate about helping patients to find the least invasive ways to reduce pain. In his daily practice, he utilizes yoga exercises for long-term pain relief and he is an advocate for the practice of Yoga to achieve multiple health benefits. Dr. Gupta created the M.I.S.S. Easy Chair Yoga program, specifically designed to help patients who have medical challenges, to enjoy the many benefits available from Yoga. The key to Easy Chair Yoga is that all of the doctor guided moves can be completed while sitting comfortably. This method is especially beneficial for people with chronic back pain, high blood pressure, pulmonary issues, and other conditions that restrict mobility. Despite the easier positions, while sitting, there are many health benefits that can be achieved. You can access a recording of Dr. Gupta’s class on our Facebook page at

Here are some of Dr. Gupta’s Google Reviews:
For more than 25 years, the M.I.S.S. team has proudly served the residents of Northwest Indiana – providing accurate diagnoses and innovative treatments for spinal pain and many other types of acute and chronic pain.
Each of our physicians has achieved board certification in as many as three different specialties (Anesthesiology, Pain Management and Internal Medicine). They are actively involved in ongoing research that keeps their practice on the leading edge of the profession and are often called upon by area hospitals to lecture on pain management. Our physicians are on staff at Community Hospital of Munster, St. Margarets Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital of Hobart.
Over the years, each has been recognized as a leader in the field and earned a strong reputation for delivering excellent results and genuine, compassionate care. To them, nothing is more rewarding than helping patients with severe pain regain the kind of normal, active life that the rest of us take for granted.
